Creating in Fragments: Substack as a Tool for Reaching the Time Poor

A man stares disconsolately out a window onto a cityscape.

Edward Hopper

Presenting at Melbourne Knowledge Management Leadership Forum.

Creativity both demands and develops capacity for imagination, concentration, resilience, adaptability, reflexivity, and critical thinking.

This requires energy, focus, and time. What happens, then, when the demands of life leach time and energy from our inner worlds? When the obligations of work and family fragment our time to focus on creative work, where does this leave us?

In my work as a creativity mentor and transformative facilitator, I have found myself working with people who are challenged with finding the time to develop a sense of creative identity and build a creative process. In this session, I will discuss how I have been using my Substack publication Methods and Madness: Notes on Creativity to reach and support the
time-poor.
