I design and deliver beautiful conversations

Covid. Lockdowns. Quiet quitting. The Great Resignation. A Trump Presidency. The polycrisis.

Generative AI. Smart homes. Digital hyper-connectivity.

We are all living through something unprecedented.

Do you need to make sense of this?

I design and facilitate beautiful dialogues and workshops that help individuals or small-medium organisations make sense of their place in the world.

I carve out conversational space for people to speak into, to connect with each other, and to reclaim a sense of purpose and inspiration.

“Out beyond ideas of wrongdoing and rightdoing,
There is a field. I'll meet you there.” – Rumi

If conversation is that field, then think of me as a landscape gardener.

I grow and tend conversational space where people tap into their imaginations, emotional intelligence, and intellect to find meaning and connection.

If post lockdown life has left you or your team feeling disengaged, bewildered, or yearning for something more, meet me in the field. There we can find out what we all think and feel. What we all dread and hope for. What we need to let go of and grieve. And what we want to reach out for and create.

Get in touch with me to discuss how a beautiful conversation can help you to do this.

The field

“Out beyond ideas of wrongdoing and rightdoing,
There is a field. I'll meet you there.” – Rumi

What do I do in the field?

I offer exquisitely crafted sense-making conversations, creativity workshops, or mentoring sessions to support you or your team to make explore the ‘new normal’ in ways that holistically appeal to the intellect, imagination, and the emotional intelligence. I also make presentations and provide mentoring for creative projects.

Customizable designs

I design and facilitate workshops or dialogues that focus on skills, capabilities, and mindsets for communication, teamwork, innovation, and collective imagination. These are ideal for small groups and can be adapted as a framework for individual mentoring as well.

Some of my conversation or workshop designs include:

  • Pandora’s Box: Lockdown ripped the lid off a box and released all kinds of things into the world. A dialogue to surface hidden fears and hopes, and the constraints and potential of post-lockdown life.

  • Pay Attention: A workshop about developing a creative mindset for innovation.

  • The Bewilderment Game: A facilitated storytelling game about adapting to sudden change.

  • The Next Day: A discussion about practical grieving approaches for the loss of the ‘old normal’ and regaining resilience.

  • Zombies and Phoenixes: As we adapt to a rapidly changing world, what should we let die and what needs to be reborn? And how do we know the difference? A dialogue about identifying priorities.

Bespoke workshops or group-dialogue

I also work with clients to develop bespoke experiences that are tailored to their specific needs. Whether that is enhancing capabilities for creative thinking, communication skills for innovation, teamwork for co-creating goals or collectively identifying shared values and defining culture, I can use my transformative experience design and facilitation skills to create a small event that will answer the needs of your team.

Presentations

My background in performance and writing equips me to write and deliver compelling presentations or stories at one of your events.

Innovative process mentoring

My history as an arts manager, mentor, and trainer-facilitator gives me the tools and experience to step your team through the uncertainties, risks, and challenges of working innovatively and creatively.
